Dear members and supporters:
Please be informed that KAF has organized a BUN PHKAR SAMAKI last Sunday,
March 10, 2007 in WAT SAMAKKI RATTANARAM in Tacoma, WA.
The event is quoted as belongs to everyone!
As organizers, we were very happy to see many friends and relatives
who could attend and support our fundraising event. It was a special
opportunity to see many friends and relatives from Longview/Kelso, Olympia,
Tacoma, Federal Way and SW. Seattle who came and shared our precious
project.
Although the number of people was small, the event was significantly
successful with a satisfactory gross income of $2,430.00.
The expenses for the event was minimal due to the assistance provided
by the monks, friends and old ladies of the temple. We appreciate them
so much. Because of the kind support, we reduced our expenses considerably.
The distributions are:
- Gifts to the monks,
- $12000, and
- Food supply and cooking, $185.00.
The proceed of $2,125.00 (2,130.00 = 2,135.00) is ready to be deposited
in the KAF account; and then it will be used immediately to continue
the construction.
Taking this opportunity, we would like to express our deep appreciation
and recognition to all friends and relatives who have spent their precious
time and resources to provide help and hope to the monk and the people
of Jhamkar Mtes in Jhantrea district, Svay Rieng province.
In Lord Buddha's words, we pray for good health, high hope, good luck
and strength.
All the best wishes from:
Chhang Marith,
Srorn Ros and Tithia Sum;
Saren Has and Vibol Sao; and
