Appreciation e-mail from Executive Director to Mr. Chip Tan on 11/20/2006

Dear members,

On behalf of KAF, I like to express my deepest appreciation of the high commitment and a job well done by our member Chip Tan of Bellevue, Washington State, to bring computers and other accessories for students in Phnhi Meas Hi-school, Srok Prey Kabbas, Takeo. We believe the project will promote new learning and skill for the future of the young generation. Mr. Chip Tan's commitment can be taken as a model for other Cambodian nationals who are willing to bring about the same goal in other corners of Cambodia.
In the meantime, I would like to send my heartfelt appreciation to all donors and participants of the project in Cambodia, Canada and the United States of America. Your generous contribution has made the project possible and successful. Together we make a difference on helping our people and motherland.
Thank you very much,
Chhang Marith, KAF

Subject: RE : Report about Computer Lab Project at Phnhi Meas High School, Takeo, Cambodia

Dear relatives and friends,

I just came back from Cambodia last week bringing with me a successful grand opening of our Computer Lab Project at Phnhi Meas High School, Srok Prey Kabbas, Khet Takeo, Cambodia.

Our goal is to raise only $16,000.00 to support this project but on the Grand Opening day November 1, 2006 we can raise up to $19,085 including cash and in-kind donation from our relatives and friends in the US, Canada, as well as in Cambodia too. So we got $3085 exceed our initial goal.

Please remember that the contribution that I received from our friends and relatives in Cambodia in cash($1340) and in-kind($1050) are $2390. This amount of money are very important because at least we can see the people in Cambodia have participated in this project too.

Thank you all very much for contributing either your time or your financial support to this project. I hope our young generation will have a bright future with your generous contribution.

I am sending your 2 attachments :
1- The list of contribution from all sources in cash and in-kind from friends and relatives in the US, Canada, and Cambodia.
2- The report of the computer Lab Project at Phnhi Meas High School

Please note that some of you, as a committee member of this project, will receive within a few more days a package of the report, a CD, a DVD regarding the Grand open celebration of this project held on November 1st, 2006

I hope to continue working with all of you again in the near future regarding the education of our young generation in Cambodia again.

My best regards,

Tan, Chiep
